Orthodontics and Oral Surgery, one team

Caring for Riverina families since 2007. Many of our patients come to us through their dentist or a family member. Orthodontic and Oral Surgery care is planned together in the same rooms, with your dentist kept in the loop.

New to our Orthodontic team

Welcoming Dr Ruth Fairhurst

Specialist Orthodontist

We're delighted to welcome Dr Ruth Fairhurst to The OSO. Ruth trained at the University of Sheffield and has practised in hospital and private settings in the UK and Australia, including as a staff specialist at Westmead. She treats children, teens and adults with braces and clear aligners, including more complex cases planned together with our Oral Surgery team, all in the same rooms.

Ruth joins Dr Steven Smith and our Orthodontic team. Together they give Wagga families more appointment options.

New patients are welcome, and you don't need a referral for Orthodontics.

For parents

When should my child see an orthodontist?

The Australian Society of Orthodontists recommends a first orthodontic check at around age 7–8. Many children just need monitoring while their adult teeth come through. If treatment would help, we'll explain why and when.
